今天开会说了会退申请费的。只是在等学校的通知。呵呵，95刀是挺多的，以前两个月饭钱~~

Letter From Acting Dean Pardini

As you’ve heard, the UNR administration has proposed to conduct a review for the Departments of Resource Economics  and Animal Biotechnology  in consideration of eliminating these two departments and their education and research programs in the face of the State budget shortfall. In addition, the proposal also includes the closure of CABNR and the Main Station Field Lab including Wolf Pack Meats (see Curricular Review Proposal). The proposal further reorganizes the rest of the departments and programs into the College of Science and moves the Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station under the Vice President for Research. The remaining field labs would remain under the management of the Nevada Agricultural Experiment Station.

The process that was adopted to conduct the reviews provides the two departments and CABNR the opportunity to respond to the proposal for elimination. The college recommendation and response will be sent to the Faculty Senate  for review and recommendation to the President . The final decision of the President  will be presented to the Board of Regents  at their June meeting for enactment.

This process gives us the opportunity to present our perspective of the value of these two departments and college to the Land Grant University mission. We are currently engaged in developing our response, so if you have any suggestions, questions, comments or potential impacts of the proposed budget cuts, I would appreciate hearing from you before March 19th for inclusion into the College response. FYI

UNR很可能直接砍掉resources econ这个系
虽然最终决定4周后才出
但是砍不砍funding都很紧
版上我知道的就有两人申了此项目
请赶快联系其他学校，不要等此校funding

另：学校general econ不受影响，但p ...

从这件事情看来就算拿到offer进入学校学习了，也还是要做好两手准备，免得到时候接到通知措手不及，弄得英雄气短

刚才关注了下，貌似撤并的提案已经通过了，但还需要一个类似于公开征求意见的会
