3 17   Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:
All university students should take basic science courses, regardless of their field of concentration

In recent years, there is a heated discussion about whether all university students should take basic science courses, regardless of their field of concentration. Some people assert it is obviously right for all university students take basic science courses, arguing students would benefit a lots from such courses. However, I oppose to the statement considering that students’ interests and the practical necessity. The reasons are as following.
First of all, as the old going says, interests are the best teachers, only are the university students motivated by the interests on science, can they be willing to learn the basic science courses. If the basic science courses are compulsory for all university students, they probably feel the university administration disrespectful about their choices, they may get depressed or angry which unavoidably result in low efficiency on their academic performance. For example, if a student majored in Latin America Literature, how come he won’t get annoyed when he finished a whole day’s work on the difficult novels analysis he had kept working for some physical calculations? Without interests, science courses for him just like an awful dish but you have to had. Therefore, not all students should be required to take basic science courses compulsorily, especially who majored in arts, such as philosophy, history and literature. But if they have interest on science, they should be allowed and encouraged to take relative courses.
Secondly, in order to get outstanding from specific field, students should concentrate on their major courses and spare no effort to achieve their goals. University students are different from the primary students or high school students, they have grown up to be individuals with capability and rights to determine what they would like to focus on. If they are required to take extra compulsory courses, their burden will increase, so there is inevitable possibility that they cannot perform well at the specific area. Hence, there is no doubt that the field of concentration should be taken into consideration.
However, we should admit the basic science courses can benefit young people, both on the logical analysis ability and practical experiment ability. But not all the good shoes fit every feet, individual difference often account for it.
To sum up, when it comes to whether basic science courses should be demanded for students in university,
I maintain that it is not necessary for all students because of personal interests and various field of concentration.

In recent years, there is a heated discussion about whether all university students should take basic science courses, regardless of their field of concentration. Some people assert it is obviously right for all university students (to)take basic science courses, arguing students would benefit a lots from such courses. However, I oppose to the statement considering that students’ interests and the practical necessity. The reasons are as following.

First of all, as the old going says, interests are the best teachers, only are the university students motivated by the interests on science, can they be willing to learn the basic science courses.(这句好像有问题,前面的倒装要改一下,我还没想好,欢迎pm) If the basic science courses are compulsory for all university students, they probably feel the university administration disrespectful about their choices, they may get depressed or angry which unavoidably result in low efficiency on their academic performance.

Secondly, in order to get(become好些吧?) outstanding from specific field, students should concentrate on their major courses and spare no effort to achieve their goals.

But not all the good shoes fit every feet, individual difference often account for it.(这句表达的好~)

To sum up, when it comes to whether basic science courses should be demanded for students in university。I maintain that it is not necessary for all students because of personal interests and various field of concentration.
不错,加油啊~~

In recent years, there is a heated discussion about whether all university students should take basic science courses, regardless of their field of concentration. Some people assert it is obviously right(right感觉有点口语化捏~) for all university students take basic science courses, arguing students would benefit a lots from such courses. For example, if a student majored(majors) in Latin America Literature, how come he won’t get annoyed when he finished a whole day’s work on the difficult novels analysis he had kept working for some physical calculations)(每读懂。。。赐教下~)? Without interests, science courses for him just like an awful dish but you have to had(这句怎么一下him 一下you的= =). Therefore, not all students should be required to take basic science courses compulsorily, especially who majored(major) in arts, such as philosophy, history and literature.

If they are required to take extra compulsory courses, their burden will increase, so there is (an) inevitable possibility that they cannot perform well at the specific area. Hence, there is no doubt that the field of concentration should be taken into consideration(结论最好是点明题目的话,比如说不是所有人都要参与那啥课).

However, we should admit the basic science courses can benefit young people, both on(to) the logical analysis ability and practical experiment ability. But not all the good shoes fit every feet, individual difference often account for it(account for好像是解释, take into account才是考虑).6 H2 _' D) n! l* I, c0 ^5 E

以上。这个改作文的人好像也没改出个所以然来。。。
