In recent years, there are heated discussions about which have more influence on students, teachers of their friends. Some people assert it is students’ friends who influence them more, arguing that they always get together and build up the inmate relationship. Nevertheless, I oppose to this opinion, considering the great impact from teachers both on academic and psychological aspects.
First of all, teachers convey knowledge to students, provide efficient learning methods for them, which equip them with powerful tools to face challenges in the world. As everybody knows, students attend class in school, through the various courses provided by teachers, they build up a complete knowledge structure, from the mathematics to philosophy. When students are young, they scarcely inform of what to learn and how to study, then it is the teachers who instruct them The teachers give lessons every day and arrange homework for them, which not only benefit students on knowledge but also unconsciously assist them culture a efficient learning habit, that is learning combine with review and practice. Only through systematic and professional education, can a young child freely explore the world of knowledge in the future.
Secondly, teachers are not only the attendants just giving students ready knowledge, they also use their thought and intelligent to ignite the sparking of students. There is a generally known teacher Confucus, who was an preeminent educator in ancient China. No one could deny his profound influence all over the world. At his time, he received 3000 students and 72 of them excel in the country. Moreover, his thoughts past down generation after generation, which accumulated in the
main trend culture of Chinese and fertilize the whole Chinese through the history. And this great teacher’s influence also illuminate the nearby countries, such as Japan and Korea. Therefore, how can we ignore the great influence of teachers, generations of students will be impacted by the excellent teachers, since mind has no boundaries.
To sum up, I definitely believe that the influence from teachers is more than one from their friends, because the former is deeper and more powerful. In comparison, the influence from friends seems too superficial and limited in lives’ habits.
