As Einstein said: 'ask a question to solve a problem, more often than not is more important.’ skepticism is not only an important learning method for students, but also good for scientists. By asking questions, students could understand a question from two sides, be more creative, and push some questions forward truth. Besides, people thinking in a skeptical way are not easy meat for con-men.

Firstly, aski
ng questions shows high proficiency in acquiring materials. On one hand, asking question opens the door to illustrate some tough learning materials. If students could not understand the study materials, asking question is an effective way to digest them. Judging from questions raised by students, teachers could get to know what the efficiency of the teaching materials had been put through is. In this way, teachers can change the content of their teaching according to students’ questions. On the other hand, asking questions means exploring further to what already unknown, which is called curious to what has been known. Students need to understand the issue first, and then they can raise further questions on it. Therefore, asking questions by students is highly efficient for teaching and learning because both teachers and students can get what the students need to know.

Secondly, skepticism could culture students' creative thought and push science closer towards truth. Creation, which means something from what have not exist before, can be evoked by skepticism. If people never doubt about something, they will never break down the limitation of existing knowledge. There exist some hegemon in history that stifle creativity and block the way towards truth. Some skeptical people stood up and enlightened the way to the top of truth. For instance, Nicolas Copernicus challenged the mindset and found that it was heliocentric. The Wright Brothers got the idea to invent the airplane when public opinions never image flying on the sky. Magellan's circumnavigation of the earth proved that it is a globe when everyone forecasted that he would never come back because earth is flat. It was the courage to doubt that brought us across the boundary into a more reasonable world.

Lastly, skepticism could benefit students fr
om dupery. Although it is highly civilized in society nowadays and a lot of laws and restrictions protect people from dupery, there exist some quacks and hypocrites who escape the punishment of laws and restrictions. There are numbers of people’s experience of being fooled broadcasted on TV everyday. If people always hold a doubt attitude towards some suspicious person, kind people would benefit from financial losses and emotional harms. You will not be taken in so easily when some people boast that their properties worth millions of dollars. Thus, skepticism could protect cilizens from unscrupulous person.

All in all, skepticism not only benefits academic workers, including scientists and students, but also protects people from harm. Asking question is a highly effective way of learning, and it
motivates creative thought and raises people’s courage to challenge authority.

It is the age nowadays when the most academic fields are led by the authorities, and people learning in these fields usually follow the steps of the predecessors. What we should keep in mind is that only by accepting the knowledge passively can’t the human being create more new theories and make use of it[them(if reffers to theories)] to contribute to the development of the whole society.

Most people have once been a student, and we are used to accepting the knowledge passively. But, why? It is because of the idleness闲散 that we are unwilling to make it[delete] clear the whole pattern and the skeleton of the knowledge and sometimes revision of the past lessons. We seldom ask ourselves: “Why?”-it is not only a simple sentence, but also the difficult one-since the course of seeking the answer will take our time and effort on learning. As a result of that, we are in favor of accepting and digesting alone[without thinkings]. Skepticism to whatever the students learn could to a large degree help them establish a complete basis and apprehend the core of the theories of the predecessors.

As we all know, when people are doing research, they base their study on the achievement by the authoritative predecessors. Nevertheless, the authority might make mistakes. If Galileo didn't question Aristoteles's opinion ,that the more weight the thing owns, the faster the thing falls, and make[did] the experiment on the Leaning Tower of Pisa, people will never know the acceleration of gravity, nor the development of the classic mechanics by Newton.[it is a questionable sentence because the full is this' peple will never know the development of the classic mechanics by Newton'这么说,不妥当] Through the examination and provement[?] of the past knowledge, the flaws could be found and corrected. Thus, being bold to question the authority, which is a kind of innovation, is the spring of the progress of every academy in society.
向权威质疑可以发现错误,创新
Nevertheless, sometimes the students can’t be put to a good situation of questioning the authority even if they want to ask. In a lot of Asian countries, a huge burden from the examination is the product of the policy, under which students go enter a higher school.[Good sentence!] The pictures can always be found that one student go to ask the teacher one confusing point on somewhere of the textbook, then the teacher tell him: “This point is ambiguous now, but what you should remember is to write what is on the textbook, otherwise you will get no score in the exam.” What a dread! Students always haven’t got the chance to explain their own ideas in the exams, or they won’t get a high score in China, which leads to the decrease of the ability of the innovation of the Chinese students. Now more and more colleges and universities pay attention to this skill in order to cultivate more talented people, whom the society is eager[this sentence is not right here, be eager to do sth], and inject the new blood to the old and laggard academic fields.
不可过分质疑,有现实因素
In my humble opinion, a certain skepticism could stimulate the students understand the knowledge thoroughly and systematically. Once the habit of questioning what to study has come into being, the probe of the mysterious and unfathomable abyss of the universe will be more likely to be deeper and more profound.

ISSUE153- "Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. Theyshould question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively."

Skepticism is one of the resources of theinvention and discovery. However, shall we doubt all we have learned? We shouldtake a balance between the skepticism and not.



In some areas such as physical science, sociologyand political science and arts, skepticism is significant. For instance, inphysical science almost all the theories are based on several hypothesis. Thisprovides us chances to doubt the foundation of these theories. But who hadtried to suspect or offend the classical theory? Albert Einstein proposed thatthe light is photon which refutes the general thinking of the light--a form ofelectromagnetic wave. Aristotle disputed his teacher's scheme of Utopia andsaid,"I love teacher, but love the truth more." And also Pythagorasfirst said the earth is round, which conflict the masses but proved hundreds ofyears later. These all paved ways for the next invention and discovery in thefuture and changed human's life. Without these skepticisms, I can't imagine howour lives will be today. So why not learning with a certain skepticism?


In the process of learning new knowledge,skepticism may play the role of a guide. Finding out ample evidence to supportour skepticism is difficult but useful, when we doubt the authenticity of atheory. Searching online, reading in the library and talking with friends leadus to learn more about this theory and have us to get a deeply thought of it,which may be more helpful in our further study than the theory itself. What'smore, the process also trained our abilities to screen the information. In thisera of information explosion, using critical thinking to screening informationis a basic ability to get useful information. In addition, to ask teacher orprofessor some questions is a way to make yourself more active and teacher moreenergetic. Learning with skepticisms, sometimes luckily, a breakthrough mayoccurred by your skepticism. On the contrary, accepting knowledge passivelywithout any question quells the creativity severely.



Granted skepticism is important in ourstudy, to doubt whatever we studied is not the best, even bad, method oflearning. In some subject learning how to use the apparatus is enough. As anillustration, in the subject Instrumental Analysis it is unnecessary to knowthe principle of these instruments and how it works. And also, when learning CProgramming Language, we needn't to doubt if words defined are wrong or otherslike this. If we really suspect all the knowledge, we cannot use theseinstruments and programming languages easily. Moreover, sometimes we may getinto a paradox and never get out of it. What's worse, we can little stand onthe Great's Shoulders to make our lives better and better.


To sum up, students should learn withskepticism, but not whenever. Civilization begins with skepticism, but overwith abusing it.

这段说有怀疑不容易被骗,一直在重复这个意思!没有分析其原因为什么有怀疑就不被骗,可以举个例子分析一下。
All in all, skepticism not only benefits academic workers, including scientists and students, but also protects people from harm. Asking question is a highly effective way of learning, and it motivates creative thought and raises people’s courage to challenge authority.
总的来说还是很好的!你是完全赞同,但我觉得可以在段落中加点反对的分析,然后再将其驳倒就更好了。比如:反:不带怀疑的学,学的更快。你可以反驳说,学的快不代表学的好,而且你学的快不一定是学到真知识!这样就不错!
