During the history, such nonmainstrweam areas of inquiry as astrology, fortune-telling, and psychic and paranormal pursuits used to play a important rolt in a society. Admittedly, in some degree, the nonmainstream science can fulfill human needs what mainstream science haven't explain. However, with the developing of the science and technology, the nonmainstream science is fading, while the mainstream science is the real vital one.

Firstly, I have to addmite that such nonmainstream areas as astrology, fortune-telling, and psychic and paranormal pursuits have their own functions that they can fulfill our curcurity and wondering to unknow areas that the mainstream science cannot explain to us. When we have been faced a complex dilemma that nobody around us has delt with, we have no other better
solvations but turn to the nonmainstream. Then we can get more information and settlements from the nonmainstream "scientists" to solve our problems that seems too diffichult to deal with. Nonmainstream science can not onlt satisfy our needs that are not addressed by real science, but also make a approach to our release our express and unhappiness. Moreover, when we have a family or friend to pass away, we can ask for the nonmainstream men to help us find a way to meet our daring by dreams or in our thoughts, so such nonmainstream science also give us a access to release our sorrow and uncontroled sadness.

Whereas, the mainstream is playing a increasing role in the nowdays. Beacause of the developing in technology ans science, the mainstream science is also advancing all the time. The government, the society, and the public are attractied by the happy ending of developing mainstream science. More and more facts and needs of humans have been explained by the mainstream one, and we needn't turn to the astroligy , fortune-telling, and phychic and paranormal pursuits to solve the insolvable problems any longer. We have many test equitments to tell and explain to us the nature facts. We have chemitists to explore the material consists of the world. We have many lots of arcute data to analysis all the science problems. In spite of innocence, the mainstrwam science bring object and the right sense of the world into our mind. Almost every need that we need to be satisfied and explained to, is addressed by mainstreanm science at precent time.

In sum up, nonmainstream areas of inquiry such as astrology, fortune-telling, and psychic and paranormal pursuits play some roles in society by satisfying human some needs, but not the vital role. Beacuse the science and technology have been advanced to address most of human's needs, the nonmainstream one have been fading all the time. While the mainstream is the truly most important science in the society.
