When painters is drawing an individual or an object, there can be no true reason to reveal some ideas or impulses of a society and simply treat painting as a hobby. However, the great artists always describe their thoughts about the society depending on the pieces.

Fundamentally, arts, in previous years, are patterns of pleasure so that artists can just treat them as ways to stablize their spirit and even kill their time. There are numerous works expressing artists' emotion, daily lives and their families without any relation with the whole society. In such circumstance, they just regard their painbrush, their pen, their violin as the instruments to convey their own personal emotions. For instance, the Mona Lisa's smile is the most beautiful and mysterious smile around the world, but there is nobody having the desire to connet it to the material society. She bestow people the aesthetic enjoyment, not the guidance about the society. Arts are expressions of people about daily lives and simple beautiful or bad feelings. They can be far away with society and just about personal joy or sorrow.

However, the great artists always convey their thoughts about the society and reveal otherwise hidden ideas and impulses. Arts can be instruments for them to transmit their satisfaction or dissatisfaction of the society. Moreover, artists can also guide people and the society's development depending on their works.

On one hand, art can be weapons of artists to criticize the society or followers to appreciate it. Unlike common people, when artists have ideas about the society, they always choose to deliver them in a modest and hidden way no matter critical or praising comments. They have their own deep thoughts and contemplations, but they are not any member of the government and even prefer get rid of the government. As a result, they describe their opinions about the society depending on their special instruments, arts. For instance, when DDT is famous around America, almost all people use it to stimulate their revenue. However, few people pay attention to the destructions from it. A famous book, Silent Spring written by Rachel Carson, has broke out the atmosphere and made suggestions to forbid it in a more hidden way. In this battle, she regarded writing as a weapon to reveal the destruction from the detrimental chemicals. The whole society have attached more importance to this hidden idea and received the impluse to forbid DDT or other chemicals to develop the harvest depending on hurting the environment.

On the other hand, artists are often the thoughtful elites to reflect the whole society's sense of worth and the whole future. Because of their special talent, they make an option to become the artists distant from material society. However, at the same time, profound reflections always come from their minds. Relying on arts, they guide human's development and improve people's moral and ethical standards. As a matter of fact, gifted artists can bring human the lasting and comprehensive understanding about human's spiritual value. For instance, in shakespeare's Macbeth, the pernicious ambition has be criticized by his writing. In Pride and Prejudice, the idea that the true love surpass any other factors which influence people's lives is obviously expressed. In Mrs Beecher's Uncle Tom's Cabin, the nationality discrimination is also judged and criticized. These master pieces can reveal the entirely right choice of human's moral standards. Depending these gorgeous works, people have recognized more clearly about how to improve humanity and spiritual level.

In a nutshell, in normal arts, people can just treat them as a pleasure way to convey their emotions. Nevertheless, masters can make their comments and impart people the way to improve moral standards depending on their special and magnificent art works.
