There are three approaches proposed to improve the sever situation of Torreya taxifola which is becoming extinct gradually, although the causes are unclear.

First, since the growing of Torreya taxifola depends on the Florida microclimate that is wet and cool, it can be replant in this area. However, the microclimate has changed a lot due to the global warming and draining, it might be not so suitable for the replanting.

Second, Torreya taxifola can be planted in other areas such as forests in the North, it is cool and wet, but the potential threaten is ignored. Take another kind of trees for example, the thriving in the whole new area may lead to the extinct of other species. It is not accessible too.

Finally, Torreya can be protect in the research centers and it gives the convenience for scientists who can pursuit further research. However, the survive of Torreya need diversity and need to be plant in large scale which is impossible for lab planting. They can die out once attacked by disease if they are plant in research centers.

Commercials are becoming increasingly ubiquitous, no matter you have noticed intentionally or not, they are almost anywhere. Commuters receive video advertisement in the taxi or subways, office workers watch hundreds of commercials from TV after a day's work, and even strollers can see numerous posters all along the street. But, is the product as really good as in the advertisement? I am a rational consumer and I insist to doubt about the content shown in commercials.

First, as an effective promotion approach, advertisement is a traditional tool for manufactures to attract consumers by exaggeration. It is undoubted that almost all the merchants pursue maximum profits, and to achieve this, they need to improve the selling performance of their production at all expenses. That is to say, they aim to persuade more people to pay for their goods. Although advertising may cost a certain amount of money, the outcome can be rather immense while leading to gigantic profits. Since advertisement plays such an important role in the business, the result of the commercials becomes a predominant element for the promotion. Therefore, many businessmen resort to advertisement company to make their goods seem much better than they really are, just for obtaining a decent payback afterward.

Apart from the pursuit of selling performance, manufactures strive for outcompeting  their competitors through advertisement that produce the same or similar sorts of goods as they do. Under the intense competition environment, they have to do everything they do to achieve a higher market share and gain lager profit. Winning the preference from customers before others is bound to be an excellent choice  which can be realized through emphasizing their goods in the commercials. So, sellers turn their goods seemingly more gorgeous than reality in the advertisement to beat their competitors.

Since related commercial laws have been released to regulate the market, including particular ones for advertisement, it is the duty of customers, the one who pay their money in the end, to make the decision whether to buy the goods or not. And the producers and advertisement companies have no reason to be blamed if only they obey the relevant rules. The best advice for consumers is to be rational, buy those what you really need and never rush to pay under the effect of commercials.

Obviously, travelling around is an excellent way of outdoor recreation. People can relax themselves during the journey, forgetting all about the high-stress work issues but the enjoyment of immersing themselves in a brand new environment. Some people say it is not adoptable to travel together with others, especially strangers. Such people tend to take the tour by themselves. However, I insist the idea that being travelling within a group led by a tour guide is the best way to enjoy the journey for reasons listed below:


First and foremost, tour guides are skillful at arranging all the tour related stuffs and thus can help visitors save both money and energy. For example, they know exactly how to order the cheapest air ticket and hotel, as a result, visitors no need to worry about the high fees and can enjoy not only nice flights but also decent hotels at reasonable price. What's more, they can arrange the tour schedule much more properly to ensure the tourists to spend the days comfortably. If people plan to much places to visit, they would be rather tired during the tour, on the contrary, if they spend a whole week in a small area, it would be wasteful for the precious leisure time. By contrast, leaving all these to the tour guide can enable visitors to save their energy for purely enjoying, not to mention the money saved.


Secondly, since the tour guides are qualified, they tend to know more about the places of interests than ordinary people. It is not an exaggeration to say that tour guides are professional at imparting the value of tour. For instance, when people visit a local museum in a new city, there might be some sculptures and historical relic, at first glance, people may think they are normal ones. But, after the explanation by the tour guides, people get to know the background of the history and culture knowledge of the city. Thank to tour guides, visitors can learn about the detail information of the new environment deeply and widely.


Finally, travelling with a group of people offers an dispensable opportunity for people to make new friends. Because they live in the same hotel and visit the same places, it brings about topics to communicate with others. Although they might be strangers at the beginning of the tour, they can become close friends at the end of the tour. Together, they create memorable times! As we can often heard about, many couple meet their wives or husbands during the journey.

Travelling is a way to relax, and travel with others led by a tour guide can be more meaningful and memorable.

Many adults complain that they are not skillful enough at financial management, they cannot stop themselves shopping by credit cards, some of them even spend hours a day to buy on-line products which is pretty convenient due to advanced technology. As a result, they live with large amount of debt and without any deposit in their bank accounts, a considerable proportion of their salary has to be paid for credit cards. In my view, the best solution to address this problem is to shape our characteristic at a young age, that is to say, make our children learn how to manage their assets when they are still young leading to devoid of financial troubles.

To begin with, learning the skill of financial management can help individuals to live more independently. After gaining the ability to manage their own money well, children will pay more attention to the income and expense of daily lives much more than their counterparts who are inaccessible to this special ability. Therefore, they know how to live on their own by scheduling their expenditures to avoid resorting to their parents to ask for money, or borrowing money from friends and banks. Which means they can lead a more independent live which is a prerequisite element for adults' success nowadays.

Secondly, the grasp of the financial management skill at an early age contributes to one's future career pursuit dramatically. Since the individual does not need to worry about personal financial problems, he/she can concentrate his/her mind on pursuing career achievement. What's more, it offers an excellent opportunity for the individual to develop related career interest at young age, which allows him/her to specialize in college or university and then choose related position when entering the job market. So it is absolutely necessary for the young to learn about the asset management.

Finally but not the least, because children are young, they have the chance to make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes during the learning process. Obviously, it is better for them to make financial mistakes  when they are at young age rather than making fault financial decisions after growing up, because when people are adult, their mistakes might be disastrous. If people can master this skill when they are young, the possibility of their making mistakes after becoming adults would be rather minor.

According to the discussion above, I believed that the master of financial management skill is crucial, especially for our young children, because this will end up making them financially responsible in the future.

Since an increasing number of people can afford traveling, it becomes a popular outdoor recreation, and the destination of the holiday comes into a hot topic. Some people prefer to travel abroad because they yearn for the exotic culture and foods, most of them have never been abroad before. However, after the comparison of the advantages between traveling aboard and domestically, I would insist that people benefit more from the latter one, because touring within the nation can help people save both money and time, as well as enjoying the holiday with much convenience.


To begin with, it is undeniable that spend the holiday in foreign countries would be much more expensive than traveling in one's own country. Given the same amount of money, people can share a higher quality holiday within the country rather than abroad. First, the money spend on the mainland airplane tickets is considerably lower than international airline. It may cost ten times of money for flight from Beijing to New York than to Shanghai. In addition, foreign hotels and food would hardly be cheaper than their counterparts in the mainland becasue people surely know the market better of domestic, and they are capable of choosing the most economic hotels and restaurants. Therefore, traveling within the country is more affordable.


Apart from saving money, having holidays within the country can also save time. It takes almost 10 hours to travel from China to Europe by plane, not to mention by train or boat, where as it takes within 3 hours to flight anywhere domestically. Time means a lot for people, especially those office workers, they have only 2 days to have a break of one week, and the time they saved on the transportation can be spend on a more meaningful way, such as taking exercise to keep healthy. In addition, traveling long hours will lead to tiresome which contradict with the aim of the journey: relaxation.


Finally, the most significant advantage of traveling within the country is the same language. People speak the same language within the country, and it surely brings about great convenience when traveling around. On the contrary, if someone is touring abroad, the language may block the communication with local people and the understanding of exotic history and culture. Take an extreme situation for example, during the tourism when emergency happens, how can the foreigner call for help in local language if he or she can only speak native language?


In all, I strongly insist that it is better for people to travel within one's own country, not only for money, but also for a better experience of life.

Given the truth that people now live in a high-pace and stressful world, almost everyone is busy with various stuffs. Students are striving for academic achievement in order to obtain a decent job after graduation. Office workers commit themselves to the career pursuit which can brings them higher salary. It seems that little time is left for family members and thus some people argue that the extended family means fewer to individuals. However, from my perspective of view, extended family has no reason to be ignored whenever it is and still weighs a lot in people's lives.


To begin with, extended family members, willing to offer companionship anytime, are those who care about us most like our parents do. For example, when attending someone's wedding ceremony, people can easily get to know that a considerable proportion of the attendance are the new couple's extended family members. Most of them come from their dwelling cities hundreds of miles away regardless of their personal issues, just to send their best wishes and share the happiness of the whole family. They accompany family members whenever they are needed, this kind of relationship has been like this since centuries ago and will certainly be the same in the future since relatives are genetically connected which is unchangeable.


Moreover, relatives are readily to offer help all the time and they can indeed help solve a great deal of problems. Take grandparents for example, when people do not know how to make sensible decisions, as their parents are too busy to make some time for a deep talk, they can resort to grandparents since they are more sophisticated and experienced. Grandparents are patient and willing to listen, they can provide reasonable suggestions and make sound comments from which people can learn a lot. It is undoubted that grandparents of nowadays can help their offspring as well as their counterparts did decades ago.


It is true that people today seldom live with their extended family in one big house, it is also true that people no longer have dinner with all the family members around dinner tables frequently. However, physical distance and fewer family dinners by no means indicate drifting apart. People live far away from their cousins but they can know all the information about other family members through Facebook, they can meet each other whenever and wherever through video chat. Thanks to the convenience brought about by advanced technology, people can connect with extended family members who are always of great importance.

After the fire or storms in the forest, trees may die. The removing of the trees and utilize them for economic benefit is called salvage logging. The professor offers her challenge to the ideas mentioned in the article. She is convinced that salvage logging will cause long-term damage to the forest and in doubt about the advantages.

First, although it takes years for the dead trees to decompose, but they do provide nutrient for the next generation while enrich the soil.

Secondly, the dead tree may attract more insects. However, since numerous insects have settled in the forest for a considerable period of time without obvious threat, it is not exactly accurate to say that additional insects will bring about damage, what's more, the new coming insects will provide food for predators, it might not be bad for the forest.

At last, the professor argues that the economic income is relatively small because of high expense of moving away those dead trees, and the job opportunity salvage logging offers is temporary, not to mention the cost spend on training.


Therefore, the professor insist that the advantages of salvage logging can hardly be long-term.
