前两天收到yale电面，和udel的据信，今天早上终于收到ucsb che的offer. $25,500/y
背景，化工本硕 gpa 3.72, mgpa 4.00, g 660/800/4.5, t 287/6.0 文章 11， 7第一作者，和ucsb che有一个faculty的interest很接近， 陶瓷得到的回复是"this guy looks good"并把我forward给小米，而且我的领域的最大牛在ucsb化学系。大家说如果我也拿到了yale的offer应该去哪里呢？我也不知道以后要做faculty或者工业界，所以想两条路都保留，ucsb在加州，而且program很strong, yale的化工比较弱了，不过学校实在太响。另外一个考虑是在耶鲁可能会建立起一个strong的人脉.

这样申请的大学里面我已经准备withdraw UMin, cornell, Umich, Gatech, rice and notre dame, 还在等berkeley, caltech, MIT, Uwashington （地点太喜欢），northwestern（地点很喜欢）还有Upenn（地点很喜欢）了

晕，在letter的末尾，居然发现我唯一陶瓷的教授居然是graduation committee的 chair..呵呵，看来套对人了

申USC 的语言学Phd, 刚收到系主任的信说被录取, 又说被获得Merit Award (19300+tuition)的机会很大 (还没有最终确定). 但是要我去参加什么OPEN HOUSE, 就是和系里的人吃饭,聊天之类的. 他们只出500美元机票. 这个东西别人也有类似的吗? 不知道去了是不是就能敲定OFFER. 还有签证也是问题.

一直没给消息，刚才自己查状态，一个AD，明确说没钱，并且说如果在两个星期内不作出回答，将视为自动放弃！
真TMD郁闷呀！
PSU是AD，现在UCI又是AD！！
不给钱的话偶是万万不会同意的！

大清早起来查邮箱，看到面试通知，结果8点多就来电话了。两个老师还不错，什么都没问，直接问我对系里还有什么问题。问到他们今年面试几个准备收几个的时候他们说我是已经admitted了，准备给我个TA，只是打电话来看看我还有什么问题，正式决定一星期以后发。我本科英语，申的是MA。请问一般TA会有多少钱啊？communication的offer是不是一般都来的比较晚啊？
