Decisions can be made quickly, or they can be made after careful thought. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The decisions that people make quickly are always wrong. Use reasons and specific examples to support your opinion.
People have to make numerous decisions during their life time (note: lifetime is one word). Some decistions(of them) are made after careful thought, whereas others are made really quickly. But that doesn’t mean those made quickly are always wrong.(The former ones (note: take our ones) are mostly right, because they are under careful evaluation. However, the latter ones (note: take out ones) are not always wrong.) There are twe main reasons ought (note: take out ought) to be considered.
S \ q G8O x D
First of all, many decisions are so easy or simple to make that they don’t need complex thinking. When we are going to a super market (note: supermarket is one word.) to buy some instant noodles, for example, we don’t need to think about (note: take out about) many hours to decide which band of noodles should be taken (how about “bought”?). Because after having tried several different kinds,we know exactly which one tastes better. For that matter, what we have to do is just to get (All we have to do is get) one from (don’t forget “the” here) shelves and put it in our shopping basket. If we do spend much time comparing different noodles, we may still make the same choice eventually. In many cases, we don’t need to think carefully before making decisions, because they are so easy to make or not very important (Remember, the topic wants you to talk about the decisions being wrong or not; not important or not.). After quickly making those decisions(determinations), the consequence don’t turn out to be wrong (This last sentence is problematic. You don’t need it to make a point so get rid of it.).
Besides, some people are so smart or hardworking (note: hardworking could imply “thinking carefully” so you are contradicting yourself here.) that they can make correct decisions without thinking carefully. For example, Bill Gates is an excellent expert in software, if given some choices related to computer to make a decision (take out “to make a decision”), he can quickly find out the most appropriate one. Similarly, when a class is having a biology exam, those who have done good preparations (have prepared well) can always choose the correct answer without careful thinking. In these circumstances, decisions are made rapidly because people, by some means (somehow), have already got the correct conclusions.
Arguing above (from the above), it is obvious that decisions made quickly are not always wrong. However, when facing with (“faced with” is a much more common usage, although “facing with” is acceptable. It is these little things—usage—that make your writing look native.) some significant decisions and lacking the confidence to make the right choice, we should still think carefully and do some homework before making the final decision. |
