Have you ever completely attracted by the beauty of “the Smile of Mona Lisa”,or deeply moved by the striking and passionate symphony of “the Finale of the Ninth Symphony”?when appreciating certain masterpieces above alike,you fairly not dare to imagine the circumstance that what a poor life without art though it is much less important than life.In my view, besides politics,education and science, arts might be the most close to people's life and thus can reveal citizen's idea which are not majority in the society and impulses of a society.

The prime reason why I agree with the contention is that arts always reflect the ideas or concepts of its society and in turn transform into a impulse to the development of the society.Consider the realm of literature, nearly all fine works in literature not only bring about unforgettable aesthetic appreciation,but also encourage reader’s will for pursuing “kindness, beauty and truth”.French writer Stendhcl once said: A novel is a mirror walking along a main road（and I paraphrase）.To be more specific,take one of China’s greatest writer Lu xun’works-“Madman's Diary”for example,this novel was considered as the first novel that fiercely attacking “man-eaten” feudal ethical code in Chinese modern literature history,with the influence of which many persons of ideas and integrity soberly awared of how decadent the society was.As a result,this fiction at most aroused many people’s common consciousness:overthrow the old society and build a new world.

Those who argue that the speaker’s generation is undue might cite that many great works of the most recent century such as Monet's famous work"Impression: Sunrise"and Kant’s classical mentalism work “The Critique of Pure Reason” express the artist’s personal imagination more than the hidden ideas and impulses of a society. Admittedly,in such cases, these ideas and images are so imaginative and obscure that even the most outstanding contemporary philosophers would not be able to understand it,but the essences of these arts are vivid representative reflection of the society . To find examples one need look no further than the success of fantasy film "The Lord of The Rings", one of the most renowned films in the year 2004. This outstanding film, which won all 11 Oscar awards that it was nominated, is understandable to most people as a tale about an imaginative alliance of good souls battling against a frightful evil, and may be further interpreted as struggle of humans with industrialization and war. The success of "The Lord of The Rings" is no doubt a good representative of the arts can reveal the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of a society..

Nevertheless,those people probably forget a classical rule:Arts must stem from the life but overstep it. Moreover,ideas guiding creation in arts is closely bound up with the development of the society,so each minor development in arts actually reflects the change of people’ thoughts and views in the process of social change. Besides,arts sometimes reveal people’ life state belonging to different social stratum. Artists from different class of the society, whether noble,middle-class or the bottom-they belong to,undoubttedly have their particular experiences different to others,accordingly,some of whose works might be inclined to reveal personal visions while the other some preferring stressing more emphasis on society.Additionally, arts also reflect the ideas of majority which are impulses of a society. After all, most art works that can be passed from one generation to another are the most representative ones in a certain period."Gone with the wind", which is a world-famous novel on the American Civil War, reflecting the main views which are held by people at that time, and these views were finally transformed into the impulses of society which affecting the citizenry to look forward to a new country with united states as what we see today .

To sum up,arts whether painting, music or literature, whenever the old ages or the modern times have always been closely related with our life,which could not only reveal hidden ideas and visions of the people but also reflect impulses of a society.(663)

我的意思是你一定不敢去想像一个离开了艺术的世界。语感上可能有不是很顺，但是我认为这只是将“you may not dare”中的 may改成fairly 的缘故造成的。除非前个句子也有毛病。呵呵！

呵呵！这个改法就见笑了！prime 是主要的，首要的意思！原意就是表达“我赞同这种说法的最主要原因是…”如果改成primary ，那就变成最初的原因了！;)

呵呵！这个改的好！但是我用主动为什么就不行呢？艺术反过来又转化成推动社会发展的动力！


举个老外的例子，阅卷人可能更容易理解

这个例子的确是评论家品论过的，我只是改写了主要意思！观点不变！但是如果直接引用恐怕效果不一定高！第一，你是抄袭别人的哈，没创意；第二，某个评论家的观点不一定具有代表性，所以最后决定采用原文的句子。希望已经解释清楚了！:victory:

查字典的话，primary也有“most important；fundamental"的意思，因为我习惯用primary,就顺手改了。
再查字典，transform后面是一定要加宾语的，transform sth/sb(from sth) (into sth),括号中的内容才可以省略。
举中国的例子听起来挺有道理的:)
《飘》的例子你还是说清楚这是大部分评论家公认的比较好，不然怎么看都觉得这是你个人的意见。
with和to仍是习惯问题使然
至于观点重复：要不你把艺术反映现实社会与艺术和艺术是人类思想结晶分开写，要不就是举两个extended examples（分别在同属艺术的不同领域，比如音乐与文学）？
