Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Drivers should pay a fee to be allowed to drive on the city streets during the time when there is the greatest amount of traffic. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Almost everyone has been subjected to a traffic jam, which may be happened on your way to work or school, and waster our time and afflict our patience. In order to avoid this situation deteriorating any more, I firmly support that drivers should pay a fee to be allowed to drive on the city streets during the time when there is the greatest amount of traffic. Following perspectives listed stand for my respond.
First of all, in the consequence of the global eco-technology has been developing at a considerable high speed in the past decade, an automobile becomes more accessible for a normal individual than it was before, that is to say, the amount of the automobiles run on the road have risen up unbelievable quickly, which is beyond the capability of our current city roads. The outcome is that our roads must be rebuilt and the air is polluted by the endless extension of the automobiles, not mention to the terrible noise. So I have a question: why there is anyone else still who disagrees the statement in the title.
Secondly, drivers, Of course, shouldn’t take the whole responsible for it. The government must take some measures to change this condition. As a result of the speed of road constructing can’t meet the increasingly cars swarm into the city, charge to the driver who drives on the city streets during the traffic jam is a feasible way. In that case, many drives who just want to go for shopping or visit someplace may choose another time to save the money. Take my mother, a new driver, for example, excluding go to work, she hardly drive to the downtown because of the fee for the parking. I guess if driving during the period of traffic jam must be paid for, she would like to sale her new car. Moreover, if the government really executes this policy we talk above, it can be predicted that the number of the people who want to buy a car may descent partly. Although it may have some influence on the economy, the traffic and environment will all benefit from it.
In addition, through this policy, the government would get a more source of finance and put more fund on the administration of the awful traffic nowadays and other aspects such as education or some public devices.
All in all, based the statement above, I totally agree that drivers should pay when they driver during the time of traffic jam.
