晕,第一篇Issue(貌似没有人这么晚准备4月底的作文吧,紧张死)期望大家竭力挑错,最好是吹毛求疵的程度,因为自己实在是时间不多了(真的是快要死的语气哈)
我在这里战战兢兢同时又满怀希望的翘首、焦急、迷茫地等待(啊 还是这么多废话 跟自己的AW文一样 BS ing。。。)
恩 可能第一段有点跑题 会改成:亮明观点——死记硬背和理解应该二者结合

ISSUE 28 - "Students should memorize facts only after they have studied the ideas, trends, and concepts that help explain those facts. Students who have learned only facts have learned very little."
Education, broadly defined as the inherence of human beings' spirit, has its distinguished value. The ultimate objective of education is to sharpen our thinking skills in order to analysis variable problems in reality, but not to foster memorize machines which merely know plenty of data, equations or profound theories etc.
It has been said that "Students should memorize facts only after they have studied the ideas, trends, and concepts that help explain those facts." Unfortunately, the speaker unfairly generalizes about the learning process. We must acknowledge first: in the early age, the mainly way to absorb experience seemed to be memorizing and simulating. For instance, how can we expect a baby to grasp those subtle connections and regular structures before it cannot speak a complete sentence? In fact, children should memorize amounts of facts by their teacher's guide to precede learning characteristic limitations and significance. With the accumulation of knowledge, students begin to participate in understanding the rules and theories behind the variable phenomena, even to research or discovery some precursor's misunderstandings in
that field, just like what our graduates or scholars do everyday.
Neither give up memorizing nor understanding could gain the true value of education. Relying on memorizing facts and data exclusively tends to produce unsatisfactory outcomes: By assimilating trivia all the time, students fail to use what they learn in real situations, let alone to create an object solving world problem. Worse, students may lose their poor treasures fairly quickly because of forgetting. On the other hand, a person without memorization just like a computer unequipped with memory, we can imagine what a horrible thing it is if this happen to our computer someday!
Realistically, we won't become independent intelligent creatures until conjunction is achieved in
our mind between understanding and memorization. For example, there are five basically thinking skills the Intelligent Quotation (IQ) test should measure: memorization, understanding, analysis, logic and judgment. In addition, as logistics give definition about induction-- way of thinking that lot of facts and procedures, seemed to be irrelative, summarized by the general concepts, principles or conclusions, which obviously show our learning process that from memorize to understand and eventually analysis even predict the future. Furthermore, when one make a judgment or a decision to solve problems existed, what he is doing unconsciously, so called deduction, reflect the contrary process exactly. Then we transform our surroundings; create experience and history, which could become memory of our descendants.
In conclusion, what we should do is treasuring the two blessed gifts-- memorization and understanding, and make good use of them. Only through this way can we grasp ancestors' spirit, which is the value of education, and gradually approach the final truth of the universe.
