Although it is commonly held that most of people are willing to discuss with others whose views are the same with theirs, it is unlikely to mean that we can learn more from them.
Certainly, it will be much more efficient to learn from people whose views we share. With the harmonious atmosphere because of consistent viewpoint or the same education, we can much more easily learn from each other. For example, when we barge up against a problem, we are more inclined to discuss it with the people who share the same idea with us, thus arousing the enthusiasm to study.
Though the contradicting views have certain amount of adverse effects according to the discussions, the advantages far outweigh them. Firstly, the world is complicated, there are many solutions refer to the problem, and on each question, many voices are waiting to be heard. On one hand, the contradicting views may give us a chance to focus our attention to some alternative perspectives that we have never considered before, then we can take advantage of this diversity by walking behind these opinions and seeking out the best one. For example, before a policy is put into effect by a democratic government, it usually has been discussed many times by its parliament, to make sure that it is feasible and efficient.
On the other hand, different ideas can open our eyes , broad our minds, and enable us to learn more about different culture, what’s more, it can provide a new thought. For instance, when dealing with a same problem, students of different disciplines may be use different methods, some of which would be much more efficient than the others. If we reject to discussing with others who have some different but useful ideas and always stickle to some particular methods which are not the best in fact, we may lose the chance to find the better way of thinking and open our eyes. Another example involves that it is obvious that two plus two is four, but when we use the base-three system, we will get the answer of 11, and a child who only has learned to write numerals might simply think that it is 22, while a biologist might joke that two plus two adds up to a whole lot more than four when we are talking about the reproductive life of rabbits. So many answers, each is reasonable, teach us a lesson that we can think about one question from different sides as well as the way to solve a problem. Isn’t it what we learn from people whose ideas are opposite with us?
Secondly, a broad spectrum of opinions which is provided by those contradicting views can provide us with the empirical confirmation that we knew little about. As we know, true wisdom derives from ideology, and a large part of ideology is directly from the life experience. Different people have different life and different wise because everything they experienced can teach them a lot. For example, there is a variety of “procedural knowledge” in master’s experience. They knew what kind of knowledge is not only the most powerful, but also the most “labor-saving”. This is the wisdom of experience. If we discuss to different people who have different experience with us and be willing to hear different voice, we can learn more about what is feasible and significant.
Thirdly, the contradicting views can help us realize our mistake, change our direction in time and finally learn much more. There is an adage in china: just as bitter medicine cures sickness, unpalatable advice benefits conduct. It is quite the same with knowledge. Through discussing with the people having contradicting viewpoints, we can have the chance to be enlightened from the repeated debates and improve ourselves.
Last but not the least, the process that we discuss with others who hole the opposite views can help to hone our thinking skills, practice defending an idea we consider outrageous, which itself is a great obtain of us.
We believe that truth can be gleaned from lively debates, and consensus is usually formed in the midst of discussions and arguments.
However, just as an proverb says: a little wind kindles, much puts out the fire. Immoderate contradicting views may impede learning progress brought about by pressure under some circumstance.

From what has been analyzed above, we may safely conclusion that we can learn much more from the people who held contradicting viewpoints with us. So just be tolerant for attitudes that differ from ours, and actively discussing with them, we will learn much more in this process.

用词什么的就不说了 不是Native-speaker

逻辑上
证明“和不同观点人讨论的优点”时 分论点有点凌乱,没有举出合适的例子支持你的论点。举得第一个例子也不是特别好
