第一篇: OG TEST 1 :Some young adults want independence from their parents as soon as possible.
Other young adults prefer to live with their families for a longer time. Which of
these situations do you think is better?
Numerous university students are facing a dilemma on the problem of whether they should live independently or live with parents for a longer time when they are going to graduate. On the seek of better job and higher salary, some of them went to metropolis and lived by themselves; on the other hand, other students chose going back to their homes to live with their parents because they want to enjoy the lives with their parents. In my opinion, though living at home leads to lots of advantages such as convenience and security, they can not compare with the benefits bring from getting independent, when opportunity and independence are taken into consideration.
Most of the young adults have a strong willing to live separately for different reasons, some of which are objective. For example, some kinds of industry are concentrated in big cities, just like banking, commerce and so on. Students major in these professions should go to there for a suitable job. If they insist on living in the hometown, they may lose many valuable chances for further development or have to change their vocations. Moreover, some reasons for the young adults want to live independently are subjective. Big cities are always full of opportunities, which is extraordinarily attractive for the young adults who are ambitious to develop their own careers. We can always find that the colleagues in a company come from different parts of the country but with a same goal that is to realize their personal value. Young people band to their homes will be less possible to make the same achievements as their contemporaries in better and proper places do.
Living independently can also cultivate many significant capabilities to for the young adults. They can learn about how to communicate with the roommates and how to take care of themselves. It is really considerable for the young adults who are brought up as the only child of the family. Besides, young adults live by themselves will be exposed to the society and meet various kinds of people, with the communication of them, they will accumulate large amount of experience and knowledge which their parents can not give them.
Admittedly, living at home for a longer time has some remarkable advantages. For instance, parents would like to live with their children for it brings happiness and a sense of achievement to them; furthermore, the children can take good care of their parents because they are no longer young and strong and susceptible to diseases. However, I believe that there are many other approaches for the people to requite their parents such as earn more money to buy a bigger house for them or provide better medical care to them.
Taking into account all the factors, we could safely draw the conclusion that living independently is a better situation for the young adults than living with families for a long time, although both of them have their separately advantages.
