I fundamentally disagree with the statement that there is nothing that young people can teach older people. Indeed, older people have more experiences ranging from living to work than young ones. However, it does not mean that an old man must own much more knowledge that is advanced. A young person who is diligent and is with full of ambitions can teach a lazy older man a lot.

Admittedly, older people experience more things than the young. Sometimes, age is a reason for authority. We have found that an older one always reads more books, experiences more job interviews, and travels more places, which all broaden his vision and prompt his capacity for competition. By comparison, a young one has relative few such experiences, therefore, when it comes to some difficulties, it is harder for him to deal with them, with the help of his own knowledge. Under such circumstances, young people should learn from older ones, who can be able to assist them to overcome these problems.

However, age is not mere standard when we would make the statement that one should teach another. It is very likely that a young man who has sufficient enthusiasm to learn really master more knowledge than someone who has given up before starting. For example, a work-hard teenager spends whole days studying French, and is able to speak French fluently eventually. While an old person who has told many that he would start learning French very soon does not stick to completing the studying. In that case, can we still claim that there is nothing the young can teach the older? With no consideration of French itself, the spirit of working hard without pausing is worth learning.

In conclusion, we can not define who has the qualification to teach others only by age. Although most of times, older people can tell young ones how to avoid problems that they have met before, it is also possible that an older man should learn from a young one who owns some characters that deserve admiration.

129 a university plans to develop a new research center in your country, some people want a center for business research, other people want a center for research in agriculture, which of these two kind of research centers do you recommend for your country, use specific reasons in your recommendation.

It has always been said that business is the driving force for the development of a country. However, it is extremely doubtful whether the situation is the same in China. Considering the differences between China and other countries, agriculture is a much more important problem than any others which influence the advancement of China. In other words, establishing a center for agriculture research instead of business is a wise choice.

The main reason that I recommend the agriculture research center is based on the practical conditions in China:

First of all, China has the world’s largest population and widest range of land, however, cultivated land only takes up a small part. How to use the limited land to feed so many people is a problem that has troubled government for such a long time. After the foundation of center for agriculture research, scientists in this center can, to some extent, help to resolve the problem, through the research on improved seeds which have the capacity of producing more crops, or on new skills which are able to prompt the efficiency of irrigation.

Secondly, most of the population in China is composed of farmers. Most of them are illiterate or semiliterate, which severely decrease the pace of agriculture development. The establishment of the center has the responsibility to solve the present condition. Of course, it is impossible for a research center to help huge number of farmers. It can educate some of them who have the ability to teach the rest of them, by means of handing out pamphlets on advanced technology or building some schools that are used to delivering farming information. In a word, only when all members improve their educated levels can the whole nation have the hope of prosperity.

Yet, we must admit that business also makes its own contribution to the development. What I recommend is to combine the center with business, namely, one direction in the center could focus on marketing of agriculture products. In that case, the center for agriculture research with the relationship of business can better serve the country.

To sum up, to develop a center for agriculture research by a university is a better choice for the development in China, especially when considering the advantage of the university which owns sufficient sources of experts and technology. With the assistance of the center, the problem of efficiently using land and enlarging knowledge of the whole country can, to some extent, be solved.

Some students prefer to study alone, others prefer to study with a group of students. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.  

Essay:        
Studying habits, which is a hot topic in the campus life, may be categorized into two different kinds: one is studying alone and the other is studying with a group of students. Both the two kinds have their own advantages and disadvantages. According to my personality and fondness, I would choose to study with a group of students rather then study alone.

As is known to us students, study method, which is credited as a key to the house of learning, plays an important part in the learning process. Studying with a group of students is a way to achieve the right study method. During the time of studying with a group of students, you can learn the merits of others, and that will help you make up your shortcomings. I have a friend John, who used to get very low score in math. But after a semester, he made a great progress in math and got a high score in the final exam. I asked him how to make such a big progress. He said he joined an interest group in math and learnt the right way to study in math from others. So, we can see it is the group study that helped him conquer the learning problems in math, which used to be a high mountain in front of him.

In addition to obtaining the right method of study, better understanding will also be achieved when studying with others. For instance, you and your classmates in the study group may have different ideas on an issue. Subsequently, it will usually give a rise to a hot discussion, even a fierce debate. If you consider you are right, you may probably analyze the disadvantages of the opposite, and collect many materials to prove it. During the process, you will get a deep understanding on the issue.

The last but not the least. When studying with a group, you may learn to appreciate the merits of others. As a result, you can learn how to respect others and how to get along with other students, and that experience will benefit yourself all your life.

Studying alone, as a habit adopted by some students, also has is advantages. It offers a quiet environment and much private time for you to think when studying alone. However, since studying with a group will bring us so many advantages, it is more reasonably treated as a wiser choice.

A young person who is diligent and is with (去掉)full of ambitions can teach a lazy older man a lot.

Admittedly, older people experience more things than the young. Sometimes, age is a reason for authority(方在这里没有逻辑啊). We have found that an older one always reads more books, experiences more job interviews, and travels more places, which all broaden his vision and prompt his capacity for competition. By comparison, a young one has relative few such experiences, therefore, when it comes to some difficulties, it is harder for him to deal with them, with the help of his own knowledge(Therefore,it is harder for them to settle the diffeculties blocking them with his own knowledge,.). Under such circumstances, young people should learn from older ones, who can be able to assist them to overcome these problems.

However, age is not mere standard when we would make the statement that one should teach another.(age is not a reason for authority.放在这里是不是好一点?) It is very likely that a young man who has sufficient enthusiasm to learn really master more knowledge than someone who has given up before starting. For example, a work-hard teenager spends whole days(day?) studying French, and is able to speak French fluently eventually. While an old person who has told many that he would start learning French very soon does not stick to completing the studying. In that case, can we still claim that there is nothing the young can teach the older? With no consideration of French itself, the spirit of working hard without pausing is worth learning.(这句华好啊!)

In conclusion, we can not define who has the qualification to teach others only by age. Although most of times(most of the time), older people can tell young ones how to avoid problems that they have met before, it is also possible that an older man should learn from(it is also possible for an older man to learn from) a young one who owns some characters that deserve admiration.


呵呵~你写的不少了.而且有很多闪光的地方.不过句子有一点太冗长了...很多的句子都带了2,3个分句.写多了就有点...是不是可以考虑有时候永定语形式来代替呢?

With no consideration of French itself, the spirit of working hard without pausing (giving up) is worth learning.

In conclusion, we can not define who has the qualification to teach others only by age. Although most of times, older people can tell young ones how to avoid problems that they have met before, it is also possible that an older man should learn from a young one who owns some characters that deserve admiration.

我觉得你的作文写的不错的,尤其是每段的主题句用的感觉很好。而且你的第一段,写的不错。我一直不知道这种自己陈述理由的文章的开头怎么样才能不突兀,你的开头给我了一些启发

我觉得开头写得太冗长了,结尾又草草了结,不大好。
关于开头我想说:无论是怎样的题目,把能总括文章的主旨点出来就好了。不过我觉得各类题目写起来应该差不多吧。

我觉得象二选一或者是同意与否的文章可以用重复题目的方法简洁开头,而这个陈述理由类的题目,就是要在开头段说一下自己的主要观点吧,我老是说不好。好像前头有一篇是那个关于为什么要上大学的那个文章他的开头观点陈述挺好的。

Admittedly, old people are sophisticated and have far more experience than the young one. We youth can always learn much from them. However, that is not to say that there is nothing that young people can teach the old. In my opinion, the two generations are in the situation of mutual learning and progressing.

On the one hand, while undertaking numerous difficulties, old people accumulated plenty of knowledge that varies from the abstract understanding about life to the practical solutions to problems in daily routine. Contrasted to the youth, who are immature and naive, old people are often level-headed, modest and generous. Calm and confident when dealing with the brand new problems, unpretentious and decorous when receiving praise from others, considerate and thoughtful when getting along with the younger, that is the old people who deserves respect from our new generations.

On the other hand, although sometimes rash and ill-mannered, the youth are not something without a single redeeming feat at all. There are still lots of merits shining. Firstly, young people have an air of freedom. Unlike the elder, we do not eagerly seek for social status, material things or other mean ambitions. It is as if we were some sense of cosmetic beings in violent and lovely contrast with the older suburban creatures. This like of freedom may help the elder jump out of the bound of all kinds of social conventions. Secondly, young people seem never lack of imagination and energy. A good case in point is that if you draw a circle and ask the kids what did you draw; they will give you more than ten, or even hundred different answers, such as sun, ball, or period instead of just only one word: circle, which is probably the same answer you can get from different adults. More often than not, young people possess the wildest imagination and always maintain energetic. We dare to explore the field that no one once touched. Like the Wright brothers realized their vision of powered human flight, the youth always bring the world wonder and surprise.

In conclusion, young people can teach the older a lot of things, such as how to feel free to be oneself as well as how to believe that man has powerful potential to create miracles, while the old people can give lessons like how to act properly toward others and offer helpful information about how to couple with daily problems. All in all, the two generations both have advantages and disadvantages, and for the sake of the development of society, the two should try to communicate with and learn from each other.

27. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

During the whole life of everyone, he has to do various things ,from learning some lessons to get a diploma to working hard to make a living and so on.  Some things are enjoyed by him whereas other things are not preferable to him. When we are confronted with the things which we do not enjoy doing but required for us to do, what should we do , finish it or skip it ? Every person whoever he is , from my point of view , ,sometime s has to something he does not like to do utterly. There are some specific reasons as follow.

First of all, something must be done since it is our duty , although we do not enjoy doing it at all. For example , when I just graduated from school , I began to work as a teacher. I do not like teaching somebody because it did not match my dream. .If I quit teaching my students ,I will be against my duty  as a teacher and will be dismissed by the school . Therefore I will have no income to support my living.
Secondly something should be done because it is helpful to others , such as friends ,relatives .In addition, it does not play a negative role in us.for instance Xiao wang and Xiaoli do the same work at a company and they are also close friends One weekend ,Xiao wang  should have a good rest while Xiaoli should go to work in their turns .But suddenly Xiao li got such a heavy cold that he could not go on working. In order not to interrupt the business of the company ,he asked Xiao wang to take his place to work. Although after a week of hard work ,Xiao wang was very tired and did not want to continue working from his heart, he decided to work  in the work for Xiao wang, thinking that it would be helpful to Xiao li as well as the company.

Last but not the least , something must be done  for it is a necessary step for our development later. For instance, during our study of English, almost every student hates reciting the English  words and phrases because the process is tedious . But the process is imperative to us when are leaning English.

On the other hand , it is true that we claim that everyone should  do something according to his preference to some degree. But from what are discussed above ,people sometimes should do something he do not like totally.

172.When students move to a new school, they sometimes face problems. How can schools help these students with their problems? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.

When coming to a new school, students may sometimes face various kinds of problems, in daily life, in study and even in mind. Thus ,to help new students to get rid of these problems, schools surely should carry out corresponding measures, such as handing out guide books of the school, appointing specific classmate of the new student to help him, and asking those directors in charge of the classes of these new students to be more concerned with them .

First, to help these freshmen adapt to the new environment sooner, I think it is a convenient as well as practical way for the new school to publish and hand out guide books of it to the new students. As can easily imagined, when coming to a new school, the first problem these freshmen may encounter is that they may feel unadaptable to the new environment due to their unfamiliarity. They may find it difficult to locate a specific place in the school and may miss the road sometimes. Besides, they may have no idea where is the laundry, where is the retailer’s and where’s the barber’s, which may together form inconvenience in their daily life. Thus I think handing out a guide book including both the school’s map bearing marks of specific locations and some basic instructions to the services available in the school is a simple but helpful way for the new students to get familiar to the environment much sooner.

Second, appointing a specific classmate of a new student to help him is also a method that should be adopted. It is common to see that new students often feel shy to make new friends which may leads to their introvert and lonely, and it is also common to hear that new students often find it somewhat hard to follow the new teacher and adjust their studying methods. Appointing a classmate of a new student just help solve both two problems mentioned above. The classmate’s ardent help will not only break the guard or shyness of the new student, which help him join himself in the group much sooner, but also will be beneficial for his adjustment to new teachers and new teaching methods. My experience in junior school provides a good example. At first I really felt shy to speak to others in the new class and became more and more introvert and silent with a lonely feeling, then before long the situation changed as one of my classmate came to talk with me forwardly and since then, I was not shy anymore and gradually got on well with them afterwards, which also provides me with a good spirit for studying.

Third, the directors in charge of those classes having new students should pay more attention to those fresh ones. As mentioned above, they may face various problems in life, study and mind, and the director may be the first person they think up when meeting with problems. So those directors should more care for those new students and always ready for them to fall back on when confronted with difficulties.

In a nutshell, schools should take effective measures such as mentioned above to help the new students adjust themselves to the new environment sooner and help solve the problems they may encounter, in order to ensure an ideal studying environment for them.

今天又超了8分钟,还有离题的感觉,大家看看吧。

I strongly agree with the statement that parents are the best teachers of their children. From my own experience, parents can affect every aspect of children when they live together. On the other hand, other tutors(觉得用的不对,大家有没有好词?), like teachers in school, can be greatly helped by parents in the process of education.

No one can deny that parents, especially mothers, are the most intimate persons in the world. Before entering a kindergarten, children almost spend all their time with parents, whose physical and mental characteristics help build up children’s mind. “Like farther, like son.” It is most likely that a brutal farther brings up an aggressive son, while a polite daughter comes from a well-educated family.

Staying with parents, children can be directed to a decent or maladroit personality. But without parents, children’s growths may certainly be ruined. People grown up in single-parent-families act much different form others. One of my best friends, lost his father at the age 4, have all the characteristics of gentle and politeness, but lack certain features belonging to a man.

People may argue that once children leave their homes to school, parents become less important in teaching their sons or girls. Actually, this is not true and even misdirecting. Children still spend much time with their parents having meals, watching television, and shopping after school. Parents do not teach their children what is the result of “one adds up two”, but they do show them how to be a decent man or woman. Besides, teachers often get feedback from parents to ensure a good education.

In one word, parents are always the best teacher for children. Whether children are too young to leave for school, or when they study with other children and teachers, they absorb their parents’ personalities directly or indirectly.
