Admittedly, old people are sophisticated and have far more experience than the young (one删掉好了). We youth can always learn much from them. In my opinion, the two generations are in the situation of mutual learning and progressing.

On the one hand, while undertaking numerous difficulties, old people accumulated plenty of knowledge that varies from the abstract understanding about life to the practical solutions to problems in daily routine. Contrasted to the youth, who are immature and naive, old people are often level-headed, modest and generous. Calm and confident when dealing with the brand new problems, unpretentious and decorous when receiving praise from others, considerate and thoughtful when getting along with the younger, that is the old people who deserves respect from our new generations.(oh, 好棒的排比)

On the other hand, although sometimes rash and ill-mannered, the youth are not something without a single redeeming feat at all. There are still lots of merits shining. Firstly, young people have an air of freedom. Unlike the elder, we do not eagerly seek for social status, material things or other mean ambitions（seek for ambition?）. It is as if we were some sense of cosmetic beings in violent and lovely contrast with the older suburban creatures. This like of freedom(看不明白，是这种freedom的意思么？) may help the elder jump out of the bound of all kinds of social conventions. Secondly, young people seem never lack of imagination and energy. A good case in point is that if you draw a circle and ask the kids what did you draw; they will give you more than ten, or even hundred different answers, such as sun, ball, or period instead of just only one word: circle, which is probably the same answer you can get from different adults. More often than not, young people possess the wildest imagination and always maintain energetic. We dare to explore the field that no one once touched. Like the Wright brothers realized their vision of powered human flight, the youth always bring the world wonder and surprise.

In conclusion, young people can teach the older a lot of things, such as how to feel free to be oneself as well as how to believe that man has powerful potential to create miracles, while the old people can give lessons like how to act properly toward others and offer helpful information about how to couple with daily problems. All in all, the two generations both have advantages and disadvantages, and for the sake of the development of society, the two should try to communicate with and learn from each other.

For years, there exist two contradictory oppions about how to present a classroom lesson in order to learn best for students. One is  teaching in an entertaining, enjoyable way, and another in an serious, formal way. Personally speaking, I prefer the entertaining way of learning in class.

An entertaining way of teaching can draw students attention to participate in class activites. As we know, a class usually ;astes 45 minites or even longer in schools. It is hard for students to always concentrate on a lecture especially if it is presented without any highlight. However, if the teacher teaches in an entertaining way, students may actively take part in the discussion and also give their teachers feedbacks. Therefore, both teaching and learning can carry on efficiently and effectively.

Furthermore, an entertaining way of learning can help students easily understand some tough and abstract knowledge. Let's take a physics lesson as an exsample. Usually, it is very difficult to explain clearly to elementory students how the Moon runs around the Earth and at the same time the Earth runs arong the Sun. Neverthless, a wise teacher may use an enjoyable way to help his or her students to unserstand. Three students can respectively pretend the Sun, the Earth, and the Moon to play this scientific phenomenon. There is no doublt that alll students will be impressed and fully understand it.

In conclusion, an entertaining way of learning seems more useful and efficient than an serious and formal way. A vivid lessen attracts students' participation as well as help learn some abstract questions. Therefore, it is easy to understand why more and more schools have been changed their old-fashioned formal ways of teaching to more enjoyable ones.

19Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spends more money on improving public transportation ( buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.


Both investing in roads, highways and public transportation are necessary for government for each has its advantage. It is true development of public transportation would benefit the public communications contribute to reduce the pollution and so on. However, in my point of view, we will take more advantage of improved roads and highways and thus more money should b e allocated to developing those transportation.

First, more roads and highways often means more convenient. There are two different kinds of regions which lead to the same conclusion mentioned above. The first are cities. Today cities are becoming bigger and bigger. More roads make it easier to get to where one wants to. Even there are public transport such as buses and subways connecting the origin and starting pot the end., it is usually the case to change buses or have to make a tour, which means more time. Besides, to wait a bus is an additional time waste as well. While, if one drives on his/her own car those could be avoided. One can go anywhere at any time as one want. And as known for us, more cars means to develop more roads. The other is countryside. Any one who has travel experience knows that one has to take trains according to the schedule what would you feel about to get up six in the morning to catch the train to match a meeting which is held at ten o’clock and only takes one hour by car in highways otherwise.

One the other hand, healthy problem is another case to be considered. Buses and other public transportations are often very crowded in my country. Even if not, the relatively block environment is conducive to spread diseases. The dissemination of well known SARS somewhat attributes to the crowded. Developing roads and highways encourages the use of cars which will facilitate to prevent contagious to some extent.

All in all, I think it will benefit us more to develop roads and highways although the development of public transportation has its own advantages. The government should appropriate more money on prospering the roads and highways.

这道题我觉得题目两句话说的是两回事，太郁闷了，总不能说ETS自相矛盾吧。写了一片诡异的弱文，大家拍死我阿。

Before starting my argument, I want to point out that there is a subtle difference between the two statements in this TWE problem.  While it sounds reasonable that people behave differently when they wear different clothes, it doesn't make too much sense that clothes could influence people's behavior.

People's behaviors are definitely different while wearing different clothes, but that's not due to clothes' influence but mainly because different people under different situations wear no same clothes.

It is a common sense that there are distinct requirement of wearings on different circumstances.  One cannot go to a funeral in red, nor could he/she join Vienna's New Year Concert in jeans and T-shirt.  Obviously people will act completely different when situation varies, and that's why they behave differently while wearing different clothes.

Furthermore, it is no surprising that two people wearing different clothes do totally different things.  Just think of the Arabs in their unique white suits -- they certainly won't behave too much the same as what the Japanese in their traditional Kimono could do.  Due to different customs, histories and even some geological distinctions, people can't behave identically.

However, mere outside wearings can hardly influence people's behavior.  Maybe there could be some effects, say, the self-confidence gained from a nice dress, but such efforts can not be compared with people's instinct characters that make them behave differently.  Intelligent people will always do smart things no matter what they wear, while the most elegant clothes can't prevent a fool from commiting silly things.  It is the silliness that makes the king wear nothing to show up but not vice versa.

All in all, I won't put the least doubt on the claim that people behave differently when they wear different clothes.  After all, specific wearings are needed for different situations, let alone different customs make both dressings and behaviors unsimilar.  However, behaviors won't be affected too much due to wearings.  It is instinct characters that make the difference.

Nowadays, various television programs have produced many sofa-potatoes. But as far as I am concerned, television does not ruin communication among family and friends.

In my family, golden-time program is the best reason for a short get-together. My parents are tightly occupied by their business, and have no spare time to enjoy an intra-family communication in the day time. When we sit together in front of the television, we comment on the performance of actors, guess what will happen next, that is the most harmonious and happiest communication for me.

Television may also dissolve confronts among my family members. Believe it or not, no matter how hostile we feel with each other, we will all come out from our own rooms to attend a certain program on time. Then, we begin to chat and laugh together. It seems that nothing unhappy has ever existed before. What a magic power of the television!

Admittedly, television does occupy some spare time, when we can pay a visit to friends, and affect the relationship between friends to some extend. However, it can definitely not destroy friendship.     First of all, people can learn much knowledge and improve their abilities during taking risks or chances. In order to deal with the risks, they must get some information and choose appropriate methods to work out of them. If they have no knowledge about them, they must learn; while if they have, they can strengthen them. As a matter of fact, getting much knowledge and many abilities is going for success.
    Furthermore, people can make some breakthrough if they take risks or chances. Some people may have such experience that they cannot make little further progress in their experiments whatever they do during some time. So some people may wait even give up. If they take some risks, that is, betray their plans, they probably get some unexpected things. Of course, they may also fail or lose what they have already got. On the other hand, if they wait, they get nothing.
    Admittedly, careful planning is also very important for getting success. There is a proverb:” people who have careful planning can succeed.” Having no plans means not knowing what to do. It is impossible to succeed that people only take risks or chances. If they succeed, it is only a chance. So people should take risks and chances based on careful planning.
