The definition of success is formed by different people. Some may consider that being wealthy should be sign of success; and staying with family, however, is pursued by others as being success. Hence, it depends on people’ concept to judge what their successful life. As far as I am concerned, I believed that being with family is a successful life I plan to have, but it is not easier to make it than it was in the past.

Advanced facilities in modern society benefit people in their studying and working. Researching related information on internet for the paper could reduce students’ time on looking for it in library or bookstore. Besides, it offers people business opportunities with both domestic and overseas online market. My cousin, graduated two years ago, did not find a good-paid job, so started running an online store with his friends. Comparing with shopping mall, online store saves my cousin and his friends’ cost due to free rent fees. It causes product and goods cheaper in their store. Through two years managing and arranging, their store has already brought benefits and he could make more money than the good-paid working position in his mind. My cousin meanwhile has planned to have run another store on EBay. My cousin’s example shows that facility in modern society assist people who think being wealthy to achieve a success, which had never happened in old times.

Affluence material life could attract many humans to struggle; however, family unity as my definition to success should be pursued. I trust that family is the most significance in this world because it encourages me, helps me and loves me, from which I could feel I am not lonely in this world. Also family gives me pulse and reason to endeavor. Under this sever competition society, people’s relation has become tense. It also includes the one between parents and descendants. Due to more hours in company, it is not available for most modern people to arrange time with family. Let’s take an American movie as example. It names Charles and His Chocolate Factory. Charles finally quitted accepting reward, the chocolate factory, because he could not see his family any more if having it. His words touched my heart as increasing numbers people have no time visiting parents in order to make more money. Modern society not brings convenience to people but also blur relationship between family and work.

To conclude, it depends on people’ definition of success to decide it is easier or not to make a success in modern time. For me, I claim that present busy life limit people’s relation with family, which is a successful life I prefer.

Generally people’s view of life is formed based on the changing of environment and society. Parents and their descendents from different times do not have similar ideas on one situation. Particularly technology has been developed dramatically in recent decades; generation gap is wider than it was in 50 years ago. Hence, I do not believe that parents understand their children(应该说比50年前).

Different living condition and renovation of technique influence people’s view of world. Parents and children cannot always reach an agreement; therefore it’s hard for parents to know their children. Let’s take young generation’ life as example. Dealing with many things on internet has becoming popular among them and it can say that internet is part of young people’s study and work. Shopping online, keeping in touch with friends by MSN also paying various kinds fees through internet bank all these show that young generation have a distinguished life from parents. Parents, (in most cases更严谨点) with limited computer knowledge may not get used to this style. On the other hand, before five decades, global economy and industry developed in a slow step, especially just after World War two(the Second World War). Under similar position, parents and their descendants should keep same perspective about world and life: to survive. Take my parents as example. Five decades ago, the social turbulence had impact on them as my country was going through a hard time. My parents in their childhood confronted poverty and famine. From psychologists we learnt that experience people passed through in childhood would affect them the whole life. Unit now, even if our life is much better in advanced living condition, saving money is till a must to prevent poverty. Young generation, however already get load by credit card, which will not be supported by parents.

To conclude, due to different historical and social background, parents are hard to understand children as they are almost from different world.

So students majored in education also need to study for master degree. My friend, was only employed in a training center while finishing her four-year college as elementary education student. Trainning center in my country is not as advanced as public schools with limited benefits for staff. Later my friend studied for master degree in English Literature Education major in order to gain better working position. This summer, even if under economy depression, she is still accepted by a public university in the South part of my country. I claim that teacher should be encouraged to pursue higher degree, first they could transfer knowledge, wisdom to students; on the other hand, they can have more opportunities to compete with those also prefer to be teachers. Handsome income is a direct method to attract them to do so.
